Johanna Meier-Michel

Johanna Meier-Michel attended sculpting courses at the Art School for Women and Girls in Vienna. Her studies also took her to the Vienna School of Applied Arts as well as on study trips to Paris, Munich and Italy. Figurative bronze and ceramic sculptures dominate the artist's oeuvre. The small female figures, with their elegant appearance, are strongly reminiscent of the Biedermeier style of "Old Vienna".
