Grete Rader-Soulek

Grete Rader-Soulek was born in Vienna in 1920. At first, she studied at the Bundeslehranstalt for textile art, and later on, at the Vienna Academy for Applied Arts under Oswald Haerdtl. From 1947 to 1959, she taught at the Fashion school Hetzendorf. Between 1959 and 1988, Rader-Soulek was in charge of the masterclass for decorative and textile design at the College for Applied Arts. She was a painter, as well as a furniture and toy designer. The artist displayed her works at the Milan Triennale, as well as the Brussels world exhibit. Grete Rader-Soulek died in Vienna in 1997.
