Franz Hofstötter

Hofstötter studied architecture, painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts and at the School of Arts and Crafts in Munich. Höfstötter developed a fascination for glass design while working on the Herz Jesu parish church in Ludwigsthal. Shortly afterwards, he developed a collaboration with the glass manufacturer Lötz for the Paris World Exhibition in 1900, for which he was awarded a silver medal for his art glass and a gold medal for his portraits made from different colored glass flows.
