Gustav Feith

Vienna 1875 - 1951 Vienna

Born in 1875, the Austrian watercolorist and graphic artist began his career with an apprenticeship as a lithographer with Ferdinand Pamberger. He then worked as a draftsman in the Vienna graphic arts institute and studied painting with Josef Hasselwander. Feith is well-known for his still life pieces of flowers, which he arranged in a very naturalistic manner using a distinct pastel palette.
