Arnold Nechansky

Arnold Nechansky attended the School for Applied Art in Vienna in the period 1909-1913 and was a student of Josef Hoffmann and Oskar Strnad, amongst others. In 1919 he moved to Berlin as a teacher at the Charlottenburg School for Applied Art, where he also designed buildings. From 1912 onwards Nechansky also worked for the Wiener Werkstätte, designing postcards, jewelry, wallpaper, textiles, ceramics and silverware. He was a leading contributor at the Kunstschau in 1920 and became an executive of the Wiener Werkstätte.
