Otto Erich Wagner

Klepácov-Blansko, Mähren 1895 - 1979 Wien

Otto Erich Wagner was born in Klepácov-Blansko in Mähren in 1895. He served the military as a soldier in World War I. From 1919 to 1923 Wagner worked as a teacher in Vienna. In 1922 he started attending the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna, where he studied under Franz Cizek and Rudolf Larisch until 1924. His works are characteristic for the Viennese Kineticism of the time, whose most famous artist is Erika Giovanna Klien. In 1924 Wagner began teaching next to Cizek at the school. Next to his job as a teacher, he was active as a painter and as a graphi artist. Otto Erich Wagner died in Vienna in 1979.
