Ella Margold

Ella Margold, née Weltmann, was born in Vienna in 1886 and worked as a textile artist. She executed drafts for embroidery and women’s hats designed by her husband Emanuel Josef Margold and worked as his creative and technical co-worker in his workshop in Darmstadt. In both Vienna and Darmstadt Ella Margold designed various brass boxes and paper packages for the cookie factory Hermann Bahlsen. She worked there, until approximately 1917.
